Brand-new and ready for stage performance, this playable eight-pot gongs galvanized kulintang comes from Maguindanao del Norte. It is made and tuned to perfection by a family with a long line of history with tradition of making and playing traditional musical instruments. Played with wooden beaters, the row of gongs lets a musician bring its individual tones together in a melodic phrase.
The kulintang is a melodic row of gongs associated with Maguindanaon musical tradition. It is played for music shared at gatherings and performances.
